Hangin’ in the Pen
Misha went for her first Vet visit at 10 weeks and she did very well. Everyone laughed at how tiny she was. You weighed in at 2.3 lbs. She was so small that her shoulder was sore and bruised after her shot. The poor thing cried out each time I tried to pick her up.
By that time, we had gotten an old playpen for her. It seemed must easier than looking for this tiny puppy all over the house. After the Vets, she layed down by her animal friends and there she slept for a good 3 hours. It was a tiring day for a puppy.
Small Dog in a Big World
As you know, my previous dog was big…a Lab mix who weighed in the 70s. Bringing Misha into our home was somewhat comical. Everything we had from dog toys to bowls was too large. Thank goodness my nieces supplied Misha with a few things to get her started or she’d be dwarfed by her new surroundings.
I’ve kept Sierra’s dog beds. For Misha, they are a playground. Big enough to roll around and play games. Here she is at 10 weeks old getting used to her new surroundings and clowning around on the dog bed.
Sticking out her tongue at me… (they learn sarcasm so fast)
Showing off her Marty Feldman eyes…
Acting like a goofball…
This hedgehog is huge…
May I Introduce My New Friend, Misha
A week after Sierra’s death, I came out of the bathroom to find my niece holding a puppy. A very small, but very cute puppy. My brother and his family had brought me a new little friend. May I introduce…Misha…
Misha is a Jack Russell Terrier. She was born May 22nd, 2009. The day I got her she was just 9 weeks old and a whole 2 lbs! Quite a difference from the 13 year old, 70 lb dog that I was used to.
It was difficult adjusting to life with puppy especially with Sierra’s loss so fresh in my mind. But, sometimes you have to move forward. With 4 am potty stops and pulling things out of a puppy’s mouth, you’ve got no choice.
So, I restarted life with Misha who was all paws and teeth and a bundle of energy.
